Pizza in less than 30 minutes / Deliziosa pizza vegetariana fatta in casa

Ciao a tutti!!!!!! Come è stato il tuo fine settimana? Today the italian flavor is in the air. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite things to cook… PIZZA! and obviously we are so going to make it from scratch and of course… VEGETARIAN!

A litttle history….

As many of you know this is no modern dish, comes way back to the Greeks and Romans when they used to flavored their flat breads with toppings  such as onions, garlic and herbs, the word pizza was first documented around 997 AD in Gaeta, a small city in central Italy. Thankful with the Greeks and Romans and the creation of this amazing and easy to make meal.


The secret of life is being thankful in everything you do! and the secret of a good pizza goes in the way you prepare the pizza dough. I prefer to prepare it without yeast, to get a crusty and tasty consistence. Adding some vegan pesto to it will make an amazing  experience to your taste buds.


What do you need to prepare the dough? This is at least for two regular pizzas

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Olive oil (approximately 1/2 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons of pesto (try vegan pesto—–> garlic, olive oil, cashews, parsley, pinch of salt, ALL IN A BLENDER!)

Mix all ingredients until you get a soft consistence and let it rest for 5-10 minutes, and set it on the pan and start adding the toppings. Preheat the oven while resting the dough.


You can either decide whether to add sauce or not, fresh tomatoes sauce, with garlic, oregano and olive oil makes it simple and tastes like heaven. for this recipe I just added cheese and the toppings. You can go crazy with veggies: olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, basil. For cheese I recommend a combination of parmesan and fetta, MY FAVORITES!!!!!!!

After adding the toppings set your oven 200 degrees Celsius and let it cook for 6-10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is totally melted and bubbling, that’ll make sure all toppings are cooked completely.



AND AFTER THAT….. ADD Sriracha pleaseeee tastes delicious!!!! And you are all set to enjoy!!!
